How have you adapted and changed in the last 12 months? My concept of the workplace is more fluid than it was a year ago. Pre-pandemic I was very much invested in being at the office and rarely worked remotely, though I had the technical capability to do so.
Why should women consider a career in the A/E/C industry? COVID-19 underscores how interconnected we all are. Working in design and construction allows you to use your creative and technical abilities to benefit others.
What steps have you taken to ensure the continued success of your firm? As an A/E firm, on a growth curve and requiring more architects, I encouraged SLAM’s structural department to recruit new engineers by attending local career fairs.
